Descripción Propiedad

Four welcoming apartments situated on a large 10-hectare country estate, near the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano. This property is in quiet and panoramic location and is surrounded by beautiful lawns, fields and woods which offers an ideal terrain for nice walks. The position is ideal to visit some of the most beautiful towns in Tuscany such as Volterra, Certaldo, San Gimignano, Siena and Florence.
The owners are willing to let their guests share their country life and experiences. The outside areas offers a nice panoramic pool, a well-groomed garden and a large lawn with volleyball and soccer ground. On the hill top, near the property, there is a ancient medieval panoramic tower dating back to the 11th century that the owners can show their guests upon request.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road of approx. 1,5 km.
Distances: San Gimignano with general stores 5 km away, Poggibonsi with supermarkets 5 km, Certaldo 15 km away, Siena 35 km away, Volterra 40 km, Florence (airport) 55 km, Pisa (airport) a 125 km.
At guests’ disposal: large garden with swimming-pool (6 x 12 m – min. depth 1,5 m – max. depth 2,2 m – open from 15/05 to 30/09) to be shared among the 4 units of the property, furnished solarium with open-air shower (cold water only), barbecue. Shared laundry (use free of charge). WI-FI internet connection in the garden. Archery facilities.
On the premises it is possible to visit a small chicken and quail farming.
Extra Services: Baby bed available upon request (free of charge). Maid service by arrangement (€ 12,- / per hour – payment on the spot). Extra bed available upon request in Girasole 1, 2, 3 (€ 20,- / per day to be paid locally). Possibility of organizing nice Tuscan dinners served under a charming veranda (details to be agreed on site).

The place is absolutely amazing !!! Fantastic view, very spacious and artistic villa, wonderful enormous terrace, swimming pool and extremely nice, polite and helpful hosts. A lot of places around are easily reachable by car. I will recommend this place to everyone...!

We stayed at Girasole in September. It was very quiet as none of the other apartments were occupied. We arrived early and the host allowed us to check in (3pm as opposed to after 5pm). As a result of this we overlooked the stuffiness and the fact only 1 bed was made up (there were 4 of us). The propery was quite old and the bathrooms in need of updating, and felt like the entire place needed a good dusting. However that said, it was an old building and we really enjoyed the rustic charm. The large outdoor entertaining area was amazing and we spent a lot of time there. The kitchen was adequate for our needs as were the utensils/crockery. The views to the surrounding countryside were spectacular and you had a perfect view of San Gimignano from the road at the front of the property. We had problems with the hot water, which the owner promptly had repaired. The washing machine was also broken, but the owners allowed us to use another on the property. It was a little out of the way, but a nice place to visit and we enjoyed our stay and the company of the local cat who made itself at home with us.

We enjoyed very much our stay in Gloria Forti's Villa in Casaglia. We spent a long time studying places until we found this lovely rural retreat near San Gimignano.
Well appointed (more suitable for 1 couple & perhaps a small family) we made great use of our basecamp, lovely pool & a great fire in the fireplace(even though it wasn't really required - it looked good).
Very close to all the places to see in Tuscany, Florence, Pisa, Siena, Certaldo, Montacino & Montepulciano amongst others... Thanks Gloria, we hope to see you again.
