Villa Ascagnano is a beautiful independent rental with a private swimming pool located in Umbria close to the border it shares with Tuscany. The villa’s recent restoration has brought a country house (which dates back to the 12th century) back to life, transforming it into a luxurious villa where modern comforts combine with a refined and welcoming interior design. The villa spreads over three floors as well as having a garden with a swimming pool and a beautiful portico (which looks onto the swimming pool) covered and furnished with a barbecue and fireplace area.
The surrounding area offers the possibility to visit numerous castles and villages, transferring guests back in history; within a radius of a few dozen kilometres lie many medieval castles (Ascagnano, Antognolla, Valenzino, Castiglione Ugolino etc.), abbeys (Montecorona, Montelabate, Celestina), hermitages (Montecorona, Monte Tezio, Monte Malbe) and many medieval villages (Montone, Montefalco, Bevagna).
The famous Antognolla Golf course (18 hole) lies just 4km from the villa.
By taking a train from Perugia, it is possible for guests to easily visit the fantastic cities of Florence and Rome.
The villa is accessed via a short stretch of dirt road which is in good condition and adaptable for every type of vehicle. At the bottom of the valley (but not visible from the villa) there is a road connecting Perugia to Ravenna at the Adriatic Sea.
Distances: Pierantonio with food shops, a pharmacy, post office, restaurants and pizzerias 3km, Umbertide (wide variety of shops) 12 km, Perugia 30 km, Lake Trasimeno 30 km, Gubbio 30 km, Assisi 42 km, Montefalco 60 km, Todi 66 km, Arezzo 70 km, Spoleto 95 km, Siena 115 km, Florence 160 km, Rome 200 km.
Available to guests: large garden - roughly 6500 m2 in area (fenced) with a beautiful swimming pool reserved for guests only (15 x 6.5 m – minimum depth 1.2 m – maximum depth 2.5 m), covered portico furnished with table, chairs and barbecue for eating and cooking outdoors, gazebo located in front of kitchen.
The villa has a free WIFI connection available.
Parking available on the property.
Included in the price of the rent: on a Wednesday there is a general cleaning of the villa including a change of bathroom and swimming pool towels.
Extra Services: it is possible to organise breakfast, lunch and dinner services in the villa (prices upon request)
Small pets are welcome upon request to be made at time of booking.

Ground Floor: entrance into living space consisting of 3 small living rooms (one of which has a fireplace and one of which has a TV), dining area, kitchen (toaster, 2 ovens, freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker) with access to an outdoor area with gazebo and furnished for outdoor dining, toilet.
First Floor: 3 double bedrooms each with a private bathroom with shower, double bedroom with private bathroom with bath.
Second Floor: suite composed of area with table and sofa bed (suitable for one person), double bedroom, kitchen (hob with 2 gas rings), bathroom with shower (the bathroom has been built into the attic and is crossed by a large beam which lowers the ceiling height in some areas of the bedroom).
