Antico Fienile is a charming 19th-century Tuscan country house, recently renovated, located just a short distance from the spa town of Monsummano Terme and the medieval village of Montevettolini, which dates back to the 1200s. The property showcases high-quality finishes typical of rural Tuscan architecture, including terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, facades, arches, and original mandolati made with handmade bricks.
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Val di Nievole, surrounded by woods, vineyards, and olive groves, Antico Fienile is perched on a hill in the Brogi resort, only a little over 200 meters from the Montecatini Golf Club, an 18-hole international golf course.
At guests' disposal:
- The house has a private and independent entrance, exclusively for guests. It features an outdoor courtyard with terracotta flooring, a fenced garden, and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine, iron, vacuum cleaner, and essential cleaning supplies.
- The guest apartment is located on the first floor, while the ground floor is occupied by the owner, with a separate entrance.
- Private parking is available on the property. Please note that the house is not accessible by public transport, so a car is required.
Pets of any kind are not allowed on the property, out of consideration for guests who may have allergies.

The nearest airports are in Florence (52 km) and Pisa (62 km), both offering car rental services. The closest train station is in Montecatini Terme (10 km) on the Florence-Viareggio line, providing easy access to Tuscany’s major cities and the seaside resorts of Versilia.

Sports and Relaxation – Nearby, you can enjoy golf at the Montecatini Golf Club (just over 200 meters away, featuring an international 18-hole course), paragliding, horse riding, and free climbing at Cava Grigia and Cava Rossa in Monsummano Terme. For ultimate relaxation, indulge in spa treatments at the Grotta Giusti in Monsummano Terme.

The apartment is located on the first floor of the farmhouse, accessible via an outside staircase. The total area of the property is approximately 110 square meters.
It features an entrance, a living room with satellite TV (and air conditioning) as well as a double sofa bed (available on request and to be paid on the spot).
The apartment also includes a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a stove, sink, electric oven with grill, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, and cutlery for 12 place settings, along with an extendable rectangular table and sufficient chairs.

We stayed at ANTICO FIENILE for 2 weeks and enjoyed it for several reasons:
1. The house and the apartment are simply beautiful, craftsmanship at its best!
2. It was terribly hot this July (37 to 40 degrees Celsius), so we only survived because of the cooling system in the living room and the bedroom ;-) it worked perfectly!
3.) The landlords were so incredibly helpful and friendly, communication worked fine although we hardly speak any Italian and they speak little English.
4.) It's a fine place for golfers: 4 minutes to walk (!) to MONTECATINI GOLF.
5.) It took us an hour drive (in any case) to all the places we wanted to see : Pisa, Siena, Volterra, San Giminiano, Firenze, ... so the house is kind of centrally located :-)
6.) The house is at a hill, quietly situated within olive groves ... we loved the peace!
