Badia a Coltibuono is the first wine resort in Chianti, opening it's doors to travellers and visitors who want to share a truly unique experience. Here it is possible to encounter the magic of a venue, to observe the slow yet intense rhythm of a 1000 year old abbey and farm and to sleep in history. Guests can rest and relax in the magnificent italian style garden or, during the summer months, around the large open-air swimming pool. At 650 metres above sea level summers are temeprate and the villa naturally cool in the evenings. 800 hectares of forests, crisscrossed with walking or mountain biking paths provide for a pristine natural backdrop.

Badia a Coltibuono features 4 apartments: Granaio; Magnolia; Chiostro and Fattore.


Badia a Coltibuono features also 8 double guest bedrooms all with ensuite bathroom: 3 of these are more spacious with views spanning the Valdarno valley, 4 rooms with views over the magnificent renaissance gardens and 1 with views on the countryard.
Each room has it's own unique charm, in décor and style reflecting the elegance of the surroundings.

At guests' disposal:

Swimmingpool 6 x 15 meters, depth 1.20 to 1.80 meter.

Restaurant
Situated in the original but refurbished stables, and with elegant contemporary flair, the restaurant's atmosphere is warm and welcoming, while the surrounding garden enhances the overall mood with a touch of romance.
During the hotter months meals are served outdoors under a bower of climbing roses and wisteria. Here the gourmet can savour the true aroma and flavour of the Chianti region.

All rooms feature: Fan, Heating, Mosquito Net, Bath or Shower, Toiletries, Hairdryer, Tea/Coffee Maker with Coffee and a Tea selection

The room rates are per two persons, per night and include a rich buffet breakfast (which includes home made cakes and “schiacciata” a kind of flat bread with olive oil), use of the pool (May-October) and pool towels, internet point at the honesty bar and wi fi in the common areas. Breakfast is NOT included.

The apartment rates include: kitchen, bed and bath linen (weekly rentals: mid week bath linen change), final cleaning, all utilities (electricity, water, gas, heating), use of the pool (May-October) and pool towels, internet point at the honesty bar and wi fi in the common areas.
