The estate, densely covered with olive groves, dates back to 1200 AD. It has been meticulously restored, mindful of the typical architectural style of the period, yet incorporating within this fascinating history the most modern concepts of hospitality in a tastefully refined manner. The buildings of natural stone sit immersed between olive-trees and woods on a crest 500 metres above sea level, with a spectacular panoramic view of the picturesque hills of Chianti, the mountain of Pratomagno and over the valley of River Arno. Cities like Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Lucca, Pisa or San Gimignano are easy reach in a short time. The adjoining Chianti-Classico region is a paradise for lovers of wine. The wine trail "Chiantigiana" leads through the whole area and can be reached in about 10 minutes. Enjoy the unspoilt beauty of this unique landscape and spend an unforgettable holiday with us.
Seven individually designed flats are showing great care of detail. The flats (2-4 persons) are beautifully equipped and include a safe, a perfectly furnished kitchen and floor heating. Internet Wi-Fi point on the property.
Three other apartments in the property are occupied by the owners.
Characteristic details of architecture like wooden constructions and roof tiles can be observed. Small niches provide a certain atmosphere and charm, reminding of former Tuscan life.
The interior procures rural elegance and reflects a perfect harmony of the colours of flowers on which the names of the flats are based.
Every flat includes a terrace providing a beautiful view of the ample valleys and the Apennine Mountains at the horizon. The pool (5 x 13m) is located in a panoramic position.
Distances: Shopping facilities 1 km away; also there is a huge supermarket 7 km as well as several outlets like Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci.
Extra Services: Breakfast is available. A menu with 3-4 courses is offered three times per week and deliver an insight of high class Italian kitchen.
Reservations for breakfast or the menu can already be made before the stay and not later than 12 o‘clock on the previous day.

We have no restaurant, but offer two days a week a menu of tuscan cuisine with exquisite wines. You get excellent, biological olive oil "extra virgin" and other house made delicious products from our own production you get directly to our affiliate little shop in the old mill.

the adjacent "Chianti Classico" area is for wine lovers a paradise and the wine street lies directly before our entry door. Factory fashion outlets of the most famous fashion brands in Italy, PRADA, Cucci, Dolce & Gabbana are located in close proximity!

Wir waren von Ventena Vecchia begeistert. Wir hatten das Appartement Olivaio, von dem man einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Toscana hat. Das Appartement selbst hat eine für 2 Personen angenehme Größe und ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Die praktische Küchenzeile ist mit modernen Geräten ausgestattet. Geschirr und Gläser - sogar mit Wein- und Sektgläsern, was in Italien nicht überall üblich ist - stehen in ausreichendem Umfang (Spülmaschine!) zur Verfügung und sind von guter Qualität. Das Wohnzimmer ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und TV bietet eine Vielzahl von Programmen bei ausgezeichnetem Empfang. Das Schlafzimmer hat eine ebenso geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Die Matratzen des Bettes sind sehr bequem. Das Bad bietet sogar Doppelwaschbecken, Bidet und eine sehr große Dusche. Die Auswahl der Materialien ist wie in den anderen Räumen geschmackvoll und auf überdurchschnittlichem Niveau. Der Pool ist sauber. Der Poolbereich bietet bequeme Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirme. Auflagen für die Liegen und Badetücher gehören zur Ausstattung des Appartements! Das gesamte Anwesen wird liebevoll betreut und gepflegt. Der Parkplatz befindet sich auf dem Gelände, und das das Gelände ist geschlossen. Internet im Zimmer funktioniert einwandfrei, was für mich eine neue Erfahrung in Italien war. Die sympathischen Vermieter haben eine Oase der Ruhe geschaffen und erweisen sich auch bei gemeinsamen Abenden im großen Gastraum als exzellente Gastgeber. Wir hatten zudem das Glück, dass ein schneller und guter Kontakt zu allen anderen Gästen entstand. Ein gelungener Urlaub bei dem keine Wünsche offen blieben.

Our stay was everything we had hoped for in a villa in Tuscany. Great base for days trips round the region. Both apartments have wonderful decorative touches combining old world with modern convinces. The owners were friendly and inviting,the dinner they prepare for all the guests was wonderful. We will definitely come again

We thoroughly enjoyed "Borgo". The apartment we had was wonderful, well equipped, with wonderful herbs outside the door, a beautiful site with great views in the hills above the Arno valley, and the people there, especially Olaf and Beate, were wonderful, generous, funny, multi-lingual, and so helpful. Get them to bake one of their special breads for you: You will understand what heaven is all about. It is easy to get to from Florence via the autostrada although it is located a little off the beaten path for the Chianti Clasico area. So it might not be the choice for one's first ever visit to Tuscana. But for a second or later visit it gives the opportunity to see and appreciate a different side of this wonderful region while yet being close to the traditional centers. Of course, no place is perfect: Our one recommendation for improvement would be the internet connections. If you, like us, need frequent and on-demand internet even while on vacation, Borgo is a bit challenging. One has to leave the apartment and go to the main house. Late at night that can be a bit tedious. But this was a small price to pay for a wonderful "home" in Tuscana.

Fantastic Home Base!
We have traveled Europe in the past and have moved locations every few days. It can get tiresome living out of a suitcase, so this time we decided to find a Villa where we could unpack our things and stay for the entire trip. The Villa was central to the areas we wanted to see, and we did day trips. Ventena Vechhia was perfect for this, and we are so glad that we spent the full three weeks at this location. Whether you want to spend some days relaxing at the villa or go off on a day-adventure in the Tuscany region, this truly was the perfect place to be. It really felt like home for us, and the people who own and operate this Villa made it even more special and memorable for us.
The unit we stayed in was the Corbezollo. It was perfect for the two of us, allowing us to cook when we wanted to, provided a patio with amazing views, and the pool directly below us. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great. Lots of room overall. More importantly, we loved the time we spent with the owners and the staff, as well as meeting all the other travelers who stayed at the Villa. Twice a week they put on an amazing three course meal that is optional for you to take part in. We all gathered in a beautiful Tuscan dining room to experience fresh Italian food and fantastic local wines. It really felt like home to us, and we met amazing people around the table.
Also, make sure to ask the owners all the things they can do to make your stay even more amazing. They have many different things available that we took advantage of throughout the stay, like touring to a local vineyard they recommended and learning about homemade pasta. They are so accommodating and love when you are interested in learning more about the Italian culture.
I am recommending this place to all of my family and friends. We would love to return and do it all over again!

De plek waar het huis staat is boven op de berg met een schitterend uitzicht en zeer rustig gelegen. Het app is zeer compleet en aan het zwembad. Hier is volop plaats om te zonnen en om in de schaduw te zitten. De bedden en de slaapbank liggen goed. Op verzoek is er een los bed geplaatst zodat de kinderen (13 EN 15 jr)ieder een eigen slaapplaats hadden. Internet is aanwezig maar niet in het huisje. Dit is alleen aanwezig in app Ginestra. Het bereik is rondom het hoofdgebouw wat ca 15m verder staat. De eigenaars zijn zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. Ze spreken Duits en Engels. De zelfgemaakte jam en honing smaken uitstekend. Voor verse broodjes is er een klein supermarktje op ca 10 minuten afstand, gelegen in een hoger gelegen dorpje.

Here you have plenty of space to sunbathe and get in the shade. The beds and the sofa bed are good. On request, a separate bed was placed so the children (13 and 15 years) each had their own bed. Internet is available but not in the house. It's available only in the unit Ginestra. The connection range is around the main building which is about 15m further. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. They speak German and English. The homemade marmalade and honey taste perfectly.
