The Castle was founded in 1599, by Fabio Sozzi, a soldier of fortune of Tuscany. The exterior is done in brick and travertine, the interior is decorated in antique Siena's style. Inside the house conserves the atmosphere of the ancient time.
The big Park of the Castle, developed on three levels, is in part an Italian garden style and in part a collection of rare and exotic trees. The countryside of the farm is all around this central build.

This was the MOST WONDERFUL Italian experience we've ever had. Berenice, the owner, is simply the best!! We had 50 people staying at all the different villas for a fantastic photography workshop, and everyone left saying it was the best travel experience of their lives. I highly recommend Palazzo Sarteano to anyone, whether just to rent the castle only, or for a larger event with more rooms. I will be holding events regularly here in the future because of my great experience here.
