Casa La Rotta is een prachtige Idillische plek. Dit heb je dat niet zo door wanneer je er naartoe rijdt, maar eenmaal daar ben je verrast. Dat komt door de begroeiing die het huis afschermt van de wegen en de verdere omgeving. Het huis is groot, koel maar toch romantisch en gezellig. Voordelen zijn de twee mooie beschutte terasssen en het vrij grote zwembad. De eigenaren zijn hartelijk, behulpzaam en de Engelse taal zeer machig. Wel moet je er rekening mee houden dat wanneer je met meer dan 6 personen bent, een deel van het gezelschap ondergebracht is in de bijhorende aparte woning, maar dat kan ook een voordeel zijn. Hier en daar kan het sanitair iets gemoderniseerd worden ter verhoging van het comfort. Alle bekende plekken in de omgeving zijn vanuit deze woning zeer goed bereikbaar en dat geldt zeker ook voor wat betreft de luchthaven van Pisa op ruim 20 minuten.

This is due to the vegetation that shields the house from the roads and the surrounding area. The house is large, cool yet romantic and cozy. Advantages are the two beautiful sheltered terraces and the fairly large swimming pool. The owners are cordial, helpful and they speak English. However, you must bear in mind that if you are with more than 6 people, part of the group is accommodated in the annexe, but that can also be an advantage. The sanitary facilities can be modernized here and there to increase comfort. All known places in the area are very easily accessible from this property and that certainly also applies to the airport of Pisa at approx. 20 minutes.
Die Wohnung ist gross und sauber. Die Lage ist etwas laut (Bus). Der Betreuer hat uns während der ganzen Woche bei Fragen immer wieder unterstützt, grazie! - Wir würden die Wohnung wieder mieten!

Alles war wie erwartet und wie von den Eigentümern beschrieben. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur und den Eigentümern war sehr gut. Wir können Casa Laura bestens weiterempfehlen.

Das Haus ist sehr schön und wie in der Beschreibung beschrieben. Zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Gesamtzustand ist in Ordnung.
Sehr nahe am Strand und zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Leute der Agentur vor Ort sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Very close to the beach and to shopping. The people of the agency on site are very friendly and helpful.
Our party arrived at two separate times. Those arriving first had difficulty contacting the owner, it was after5pm before they were finally into the villa.
The villa is typical tuscan decor, considering the amount paid for cleaning, we were shocked to still find areas not to our own personal standards. The pool area is lovely, we had many lovely days with the children here. The views are amazing, bring insect repellent though as you will get bitten.
The upstairs bathroom was in poor condition, shower barely works and the bath full of limescale, we all felt the property could benefit from a new suite upstairs. My children were unable to sit in the bath, as they found it too rough.
Plenty of towels and bedding provided. We were unable to find a kettle, so a travel one would be advisable. Lots of lovely hidden areas around the property to sit and enjoy fabulous views.
You can hear the local race track most days, you do adjust to the constant racing of bikes sound.
Overall it was a nice stay, but the property does need some updating in the bathrooms.
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche zu 5. Das Haus liegt inmitten von Olivenbäumen, viel Platz, ganz besonders die große überdachte Terrasse mit tollem Blick ins Tal. Der Pool ist prima und wird gepflegt. ein weiterer Sonnenschirm wäre toll. Auf der weiteren Terrasse ist leider kein Stuhl noch Schirm so dass diese eigentlich nicht genutzt wird.
Da die Reinigungskosten ja nicht ganz ohne sind, hätten wir uns gefreut das Haus etwas gepflegter zu übernehmen. Die Küche war leider an vielen Stellen fettig bzw. Geschirr nicht sauber. Wir erledigten dies und gut war es aber es hinterläßt halt einen gewissen Beigeschmack.
Vielleicht sollte auch erwähnt werden, dass in der Nähe die grosse Motocross Strecke ist und an Trainingstagen oder bei Rennen der Lärm nicht unerheblich ist. Aber dies kam in unserer Woche nur 3x vor und oft ist man ja auch gar nicht im Haus da auf Ausflügen.
Wir würden wieder kommen!

The house is surrounded by olive trees, lots of space, especially the large covered terrace with great views of the valley. The pool is great and is maintained. another parasol would be great. On the other terrace unfortunately no chairs nor umbrella so that it is not actually used.
Since the cleaning costs are not completely without, we would have been happy to take over the house a little cleaner. The kitchen was unfortunately in many places greasy or dishes not clean. We cleaned those and it wasOK but it leaves a certain aftertaste.
Perhaps it should also be mentioned that the large motocross track is nearby and the noise is not negligible on training days or during races. But this came in our week only 3x and often you're not even in the house there, on excursions.
A very nice place, with lots of space, a tennis court, a pool that got cleaned every day and an extremely friendly and helpful Administrator that was around most of the time if we had any questions or problems (which wasn't the case). There are several local supermarkets that you can reach by car within 7 minutes and you are completely for yourself in a big radius - so you can also be louder if you want to. Would book this place again.
The villa looked just like in the pictures! It was a very relaxing Tuscany experience.
The owner was also super nice and helpful.
However, while we enjoyed it very much overall, it too some time for us to adjust, and there are some important details which are not mentioned in the villa's description:
There is a 10-15 minutes drive up a narrow, steep gravel road, which isn't fun at all at night (especially after a lot of wine).
The water in the villa are drawn from the local well, and are full of scale, which makes them non drinkable, so you have to buy a lot of water bottles.
Only one bath out of the 4 is actually usable (one has no water pressure at all, and two are just big tubs).
The pool and the external dining area are full of bees and hornets, which makes it pretty unpleasant to stay for a long time.
There's almost no light inside the villa, even on sunny days with all the windows open.
If you want to use any of the cool activities (private chef or wine tour), you have to book it at least a month in advance with the owner (we had no idea and so missed on both).
Since we were aiming for the rural experience in the first place, we had a pretty good time. We were just a bit disappointed all of these issues weren't mentioned at all in the website, so.. There you go ????
