We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,the villa suited our needs perfectly.In particular the owners made us feel at home and the home cooking and hospitality in their restaurant was so good we ate there half the time! The only downside to our stay was some guests were bitten by mosquitoes.
We had a great week, the property is clean and offers a lot of privacy. Friendly and competent reception and staff. Nice pool area (more umbrellas however would be great), Rooms are traditional italian style with moskito net at window, each has a small cooler and safe. Kitchen is large, appliances are aging a bit (coffee machine, toaster). Very good it has 3 refrigerators for cooling all food and drinks. We would surely come back again.
Have been to Pognana Lario / La Cava three times; we love the area and the facilities and especially the view from the terrace: You can argue that the apartments are a bit old fashioned, but we don't mind that the kitchen is small; it gives a bit of a "camping feeling". Still think the look of the apartment "holds", since it is light and simple. This time around it was very hot, and a couple of more fans would be great, since air condition is not installed. Be aware as well, that you get to train staps when at La Cava, so not for poeple with a walking disability.
Heerlijke plek, prachtige tuin/zwembad. Goede uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. Ruim appartement, netjes en heel schoon.
Enige minpuntje is dat er geen airconditioning is tot op heden, wij zaten er toen het 37graden was, dan koelt het ook snachts binnen niet af.
Nous avons passé deux magnifiques semaines dans cette maison très bien aménagée, au coeur du village. Ses deux balcons donnant sur une vue à couper le souffle, son jardin à étage avec piscine à quelques pas de la maison, en font un point de départ idéal pour découvrir le nord de la Toscane. Les conseils et accompagnements des propriétaires sont venus donner de très utiles coups de pouce à notre séjour en famille.
We stayed for a week in this beautiful place. When we arrived it was already very welcoming (we got an own baked apple cake), and throughout the week we were treated with many Tuscan treats near the pool. Any issues we had were very swiftly resolved. On top of that the kindness of the hosts is something we have never encountered before. 5 stars doesn’t do justice to how you are treated in this accommodation, if we could rate 6, we would want to rate 7 and so on. All in all we have had a great holiday and we definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Tuscany!
