Outstanding property in an a stunning setting.
The local town is lovely - excellent restaurants and supermarkets.
The pool is magnificent.
Everything is so clean in and around the house.
Our host, Guido, could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad.
Helaas staat op de website niet alles vermeld: de benedenverdieping bestaat uit een grote koele woonkamer met een bedbank, tafel en stoelen. Er is een 2e badkamer, maar ook nog een hele grote 2e slaapkamer met 2 eenpersoonsbedden en een vouwbed. Dat was voor ons een hele aangename verrassing!

Mooi huisje met eigen sanitair per kamer, ideaal. Zwembad was erg netjes. De gastvrouw Alexandra was zeer behulpzaam!

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine en famille (à 21, de 8 à 80 ans). Les 3 maisons permettent à chacun d’avoir son espace, son rythme sans gêner les autres. Une des terrasses permet de se réunir pour manger tous ensemble (il y a tout ce qu’il faut en matériel de cuisine, vaisselle). Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine qui est vraiment grande. Les jeunes ont beaucoup aimé la salle voûtée, plus fraîche, pour jouer au billard (un peu abîmé) ou aux cartes et la table de ping-pong. Nous avons fait nos courses à Montevarchi (plusieurs supermarchés et le marché le jeudi) et visité plusieurs villes ou villages magnifiques (Florence et Sienne à 1h, Arezzo et Radda in chianti à 30 min…). Certains partaient tous les matins pour une balade à vélo dans les environs magnifiques, d’autres sont allés se baigner dans une rivière. Paula (qui gère le domaine) a répondu très gentiment et rapidement à toutes nos demandes. Le repas italien préparé par Lucia et sa famille (à notre demande) était parfait ! Seul bémol, la wifi qui n’était pas suffisante pour le travail en ligne et la vue panoramique (que l’on voit seulement depuis le pigeonnier) Toute la famille se souviendra longtemps de cette semaine et recommande vivement Poggio Cuccule !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,the villa suited our needs perfectly.In particular the owners made us feel at home and the home cooking and hospitality in their restaurant was so good we ate there half the time! The only downside to our stay was some guests were bitten by mosquitoes.

We had a great week, the property is clean and offers a lot of privacy. Friendly and competent reception and staff. Nice pool area (more umbrellas however would be great), Rooms are traditional italian style with moskito net at window, each has a small cooler and safe. Kitchen is large, appliances are aging a bit (coffee machine, toaster). Very good it has 3 refrigerators for cooling all food and drinks. We would surely come back again.

Have been to Pognana Lario / La Cava three times; we love the area and the facilities and especially the view from the terrace: You can argue that the apartments are a bit old fashioned, but we don't mind that the kitchen is small; it gives a bit of a "camping feeling". Still think the look of the apartment "holds", since it is light and simple. This time around it was very hot, and a couple of more fans would be great, since air condition is not installed. Be aware as well, that you get to train staps when at La Cava, so not for poeple with a walking disability.

Een fijn en schoon huis in een rustige en mooie omgeving. Ook de gastvrijheid van de huiseigenaren was fijn om te ervaren. Het zwembad is een heerlijke manier om verkoeling te zoeken tijdens warm weer. Het zwembad en de tuin worden regelmatig onderhouden. De bedden zijn alleen niet van hele goede kwaliteit en sommige douches zijn aan vervanging toe.
